Why does it feel like XD is starting over from scratch without using anything learned in the last two decades? We have solved this problem 20 years ago.

In order to select an element you must click exactly on part of the path, so when you're dealing with intricate vectors with lots of thin lines with nothing behind them you will struggle to select it.
